Sanlorenzo Asia, represented by Simpson Marine, is pleased to report that its SD range of yachts continues to grow in popularity in Asia. The company has seen a significant increase in sales of the SD range in the region over the past year, with a recent sale of a brand new model SD90 following on from the sales of multiple SD96s and SD118s from the redesigned line of the historical SD range. These new orders are mainly being placed by clients based in China, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
The SD range, which stands for semi-displacement, is known for its stylish and timeless design and exceptional living volumes. It features spacious and comfortable interiors, as well as state-of-the-art technology and advanced engineering allowing for long range cruising and easy exploration of Asia. The range includes yachts ranging in length from 90 feet to 132 feet.
Nick Stratton, Sanlorenzo Asia Sales Manager, says: “We are delighted to see such strong demand for our SD range in Asia. It is a testament to the quality of our yachts and the hard work of our team that we are able to attract new clients from this important market.”
“It is significant to see that the SD range of ultra-voluminous yachts, with their extensive cruising range, has enjoyed remarkable success in Asia, an area so diverse in terms of cruising grounds and unspoiled islands and archipelagos to visit. A Sanlorenzo SD yacht can take owners anywhere they like, in total comfort and safety. We already have two bigger units of the SD range cruising here, and one SD96 and three SD118’s in build with the first one set to be delivered this summer followed by another SD96. The SD range has been incredibly successful and is crucial to the further growth of the brand presence in Asia, especially with a trend for owners spending more time on board and taking the time to go even further on their yacht,” adds Stratton.
Sanlorenzo has been expanding its presence in Asia in recent years in notable ways, including the opening of Piero Lissoni’s signature showrooms in Hong Kong and Singapore. The recent sale of the SD90 marks a positive start to a busy new year for Sanlorenzo Asia including a major presence, with the Sanlorenzo Collectors Lounge, at the Art Basel Hong Kong in March 2023, and the first edition of the Sanlorenzo Captains Academy in Hong Kong in the spring. Not to mention, an impressive delivery of 10 Sanlorenzo yachts in Asia scheduled for February and March alone.
Sanlorenzo was founded in 1958 and operates in four locations in Italy including Ameglia, La Spezia, Viareggio, and Massa on the West Coast. The company has a reputation for building some of the world’s most luxurious and stylish yachts, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, bespoke design, and uncompromised quality.
