Simpson Marine Enters the New Year with a Successful Display at the Thailand International Boat Show 2024

A Great Start to 2024

Simpson Marine has successfully attended the first boat show of 2024, the Thailand International Boat Show. The event, which ran from 11-14th January at Royal Phuket Marina in Phuket, saw Simpson Marine showcasing a stunning line-up of six luxury yachts, including models from the world-renowned brands Sanlorenzo, Fairline, Beneteau, Lagoon and Aquila.

The Thailand International Boat Show was an immersive experience embodying the very essence of luxury, innovation, and the boundless allure of the sea. The fleet on display offered something for every discerning yachtsman and ranged from sleek motor yachts to catamarans and day cruisers.

Sanlorenzo

The Sanlorenzo SX76 made its Thailand premiere at the show and was a definite showstopper. The SX crossover range by Sanlorenzo redefines the yachting lifestyle and serves as the ultimate platform for a bespoke oasis at sea. One of the standout features of the Sanlorenzo SX76 is its innovative beach club, situated at the stern of the yacht.

This area provides guests with easy access to the water, making it the ideal spot for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying water sports. The beach club also boasts shower facilities and ample storage space for water toys, ensuring that guests can truly make the most of their time on the water.

Awards and Recognitions

As a prelude to the show, a Thailand International Boat Show Gala Dinner with the Robb Report’s “Best of the Best” Awards were held with two notable awards attributed to Sanlorenzo for “Best Brand Presence in Asia” and “Best Exterior Design” for the SX100.

The grand finale of the awards ceremony was the “Lifetime Achievement Award” for Mike Simpson, celebrating Mike’s 40 years of business operations in Asia with Simpson Marine.

Fairline

Fairline presented the Targa 45 GT, a beautiful sports cruiser renowned for its exceptional performance, innovative design, and luxurious features. The Targa 45 GT effortlessly blurs the lines between the indoors and outdoors. With its retractable hardtop roof, it offers those on board the freedom to embrace the elements or find shelter when needed. The cockpit offers a sprawling canvas for socializing, dining or simply basking in the sea breeze.

Beneteau

With a heritage spanning over a century, Beneteau is a pioneer in the yachting industry, known for its timeless designs and innovative technology. Each Beneteau yacht embodies excellence in luxury and adventure, and the Swift Trawler 48 represents the perfect example of this.

Designed for long-range cruising, the Beneteau Swift Trawler 48 combines comfort and innovation to create a true masterpiece. The yacht’s exterior lines and spacious interiors are sophisticated, while the well-appointed cabins offer a haven of tranquility. Powered by reliable and efficient engines, the Swift Trawler 48 promises an effortless and thrilling journey on the open seas.

Alongside the Beneteau Swift Trawler 48, the Beneteau display also included the Flyer 8 SUNdeck model. She is a 8.10-metre caddy boat with one guest cabin, a draft of 0.90 metres and can reach speeds of up to 43 knots. She is also a great day boat for enjoying Thailand’s remote islands and bays, including the Similan and Phi Phi Islands.

The Flyer 8 SUNdeck has the aesthetics of a modern classic, with taut yet attractive lines, complete with black pulpits. Featuring the latest-generation Beneteau patented Air Step 2 hull technology, the boat lifts off quickly and offers outstanding cruising comfort. The aft bench seat is easy to fold back, providing optimum cockpit space. In addition, there are also numerous ergonomic storage spaces spread throughout the boat.

Lagoon

With spacious interiors and cutting-edge features, the Lagoon 42 offers a luxurious and dynamic sailing experience. Its sleek lines and innovative layout make it a standout choice for those seeking the epitome of modern yachting.

Aquila

The Aquila 36 has an abundance of appealing features. With a generous amount of space, this twin outboard-driven catamaran can easily accommodate 15 people for day cruising and offers ample accommodation and facilities for a family to cruise overnight. Alongside its attractive looks, the Aquila 36 is very practical, with fantastic seaworthiness, plenty of space and functional modularity. This winning cocktail opens up a wide variety of uses for this power cat, such as day trips, short-term cruising, entertaining on board, fishing and diving.

In addition to the presentation of brand new yachts, the Simpson Yacht Charter team was on hand to book yacht charters during the show. With several promotions for destinations in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Europe, the team kept busy welcoming customers and presenting them with a variety of options for their dream yachting holidays. The Simpson Superyachts team was also represented, with a series of new listings presented to customers on request.
