Argentinian ocean racing specialist Juan Kouyoumdjan tapped into Nautor Swan’s collective expertise for both the deck layout and rig and sailing plan, ensuring a package that prioritises practicality, manoeuvrability, and safety.

The ClubSwan 28 is characterised by a slightly inverted bow with flared volumes and a hanging rudder at the stern. It has a full kite retrieval system with a sliding hatch on the bow. The mast jack can be easily operated from the cockpit by a manual hydraulic pump, allowing fast and reliable rig tuning. Both hull and deck are built using specifically reinforced fibreglass, with a carbon mast and no backstay.

The concept of the rig is simplicity, based on one single movement of the rig up and down through a dedicated and simple hydraulic system. It has a powerful sail plan that includes a mainsail, a jib, an AP kite, and a reaching kite.

With a lifting keel and compact dimensions, it is easily trailerable. In fact, it is the largest sailboat that you can hitch onto a trailer without complications or permits. As an entry model into the world of racing, it doesn’t get much better.
