Expect a big showcase from Simpson Marine at the upcoming Singapore Yachting Festival 2024. Taking place at ONE15 Marina, Sentosa, between 25 to 28 April, the event promises to be extraordinary with an impressive fleet that includes, the Sanlorenzo SL96A, SX88, Bluegame BGX73, BG42, and the new Fairline Squadron 58. Fleet Highlights: Setting Sail Into Luxury
The Sanlorenzo SD118 strikes an ideal balance between classic, traditional lines and a contemporary interpretation, taken to new levels of elegance thanks to her wide-body hull. Representing the constant innovation and research that Sanlorenzo has made over the years, the SD118 is the flagship yacht in a historical line of semi-displacement models that offers superior autonomy for the most experienced enthusiasts of life on the sea.
Commanding attention with its innovative design and cutting-edge features, the SL96A stands as a testament to Sanlorenzo’s commitment to redefining the world of luxury yachting.
The Sanlorenzo SL96A rethinks the canonical layout of a yacht, retaining only the side decks on the starboard side and eliminating the port side one which instead is carried on the roof of the superstructure. This allows 10sqm of surface space to be recovered for the benefit of the interior. This unconventional layout provides excellent circulation onboard making her the only yacht of this size on the market to offer a seamless flow from aft to bow to flybridge.
The bow of the yacht is another impressive space for socialising with electric opening system panels, a bimini top, and a dinette. Teak flooring from the bow area and side walkways lead to the aft of the yacht, highlighting the fluency of movement within the SL96 Asymmetric. Her garage comfortably fits a large tender to a maximum of 4.50 metres and 400kg of load and has a hydraulic platform equipped with underwater lights.
This particular unit on display has a comprehensive specification and is adorned with hand-selected décor from top Italian brands such as B&B, Cassina and Roda.
Sanlorenzo SX88 embodies the art of compromise. It masterfully combines the classic elegance of Sanlorenzo’s flybridge models with the robust versatility of the Explorer series, creating a vessel that excels aesthetically and through functionality.
At 27 metres, the award-winning SX88 is dubbed a “social” yacht that offers a new way to live life on board. This is thanks to its amazing aft platform that stores all the water toys and tenders one might wish for, as well as the bright, luminous interiors with seamlessly integrated outdoor decks.
Windows in the main saloon are floor to ceiling, and the unique design choice of cut-away bulwarks along the exterior ensures that maximum natural light can flood into the saloon. Moving forward, towards the bow, a floating staircase ensures that light can still filter down below deck too, where four spacious ensuite cabins await to host a party of eight.
The standout feature of the SX88 is undeniably its flybridge. The helm station is designed to cater to all weather conditions, providing the flexibility to be completely sealed off and climate-controlled with heating or air conditioning. Towards the aft, a delightful al fresco lounge awaits, offering uninterrupted panoramic views of the sea, making it the premier spot for outdoor entertainment.
Winner of the “Most Avant-Garde Yacht” at the Cannes Yachting Festival, the Bluegame BGX73 stands as the flagship model in Bluegame’s BGX range, offering an owner-centric, customisable, and sustainably crafted masterpiece.
Boasting a larger-than-usual beach club, the BGX73 encourages marine enthusiasts to enjoy a new way of life onboard. The beach club has an uncommonly expansive area of teak that is more like the aft deck of a superyacht than the cockpit of a 70-foot vessel. Beach club or party space, it’s also big enough to take a 13-foot RIB tender, plus toys.
The yacht’s radical design is made possible by using Volvo Penta’s IPS system, so the engines can fit under the large platform rather than further forward, where the engine room would occupy a sizable portion of the lower deck on a more conventional motor yacht.
